General Information for the Bayfield and Marvel Transfer Stations.

La Plata County does not offer trash pickup services; however, the transfer stations are available for residents to drop off their residential waste. Dry brown yard waste may be disposed of at the Bayfield Transfer Station for $8 per load. There is no yard waste option at the Marvel Transfer Station.

All waste deposited at a Transfer Station must be moved to a landfill and therefore, residents are asked to take large loads directly to the landfill. Trailers are accepted at the Transfer Stations. All heavy construction debris must be taken to the landfill.
