Hello and THANK YOU for your interest in the County's Boards & Commissions.  Resident participation plays an extremely important role in local government and resident volunteers who contribute their expertise in service make our community a better place to live, work and play.  Individuals who serve in these positions participate in the on-going county government decision-making process and assist in the oversight of how services are provided to our residents.

Citizen participation is extremely important to the La Plata Board of County Commissioners and staff. We currently have more than 30 active boards and commissions with nearly 200 people formally participating in the on-going county government decision-making processes.

La Plata County is currently recruiting for board vacancies in January 2024. We are accepting applications until October 16, 2023.
