Ambulance Licensing
In the State of Colorado, each Board of County Commissioners is responsible for the application, inspection, and issuance of ground ambulance service licenses.
The Licensing Coordinator in the Administration office reviews ambulance licenses and ambulance license renewals for conformance with state law and La Plata County code. Qualifying applications are then submitted to the Board of County Commissioners for review. For licensing questions, please contact the Licensing Coordinator by email or call 970-382-6252.
To file a formal complaint regarding a licensed ambulance service or concerns about an unlicensed ambulance service operating in La Plata County, please complete the complaint form and return to the Licensing Coordinator either by email or mail at: La Plata County Ambulance Licensing 1101 E 2nd Ave. Durango, CO 81301.
