Board of County Commissioner's Schedule for Week of April 22 - 27
MONDAY, April 22
7:30 a.m. – La Plata County/Town of Bayfield Joint Work Session

2:30 p.m. – Tri-County Commissioners Meeting on Broadband
The Board will attend a virtual meeting with the Commissioners from the counties of Archuleta and Montezuma to discuss current plans and future phases of the region’s broadband project.
TUESDAY, April 23
10:00 a.m. – Business Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:
- Proclamation for Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month.
- Proclamation of April 27, 2024 as "Ward Lee Day".
- Approval of county cash requirements as prepared and posted by the Finance Department and direct staff to publish.
- Approval of Upper Pine River Fire Protection District's ambulance license renewal.
- Approval of the Bureau of Land Management supplemental rule comment letter.
- Approval of the Colorado Department of Transportation's (Region 5) request to submit the Multimodal Program Discretionary Grant (MPDG) to fund highway improvements for the US 550 South Bridge and Intersection Improvement Project.
- Approval of a letter supporting Fort Lewis College's proposal for the Old Fort Community Vegetable Processing Barn.
- Approval of letters of support for Rocky Mountain Health Plans.
- Approval of a letter in support of HB24-1454 concerning a one-year extension of the deadline for public agencies to comply with digital accessibility standards if the public agency demonstrates a good faith effort toward compliance.
- Approval of First Amendment of Loan and Grant Agreement with ECLT Westside Commons, LLC and Elevation Community Land Trust, LLC.
- Public Hearing for the consideration of Resolution number 2024-15 supplementing the 2023 Budget.

4:00 p.m. – Public Meet and Greet for Public Health Director Finalist
The Board will attend a public Meet and Greet for county residents to meet the finalist for the Public Health Director position. The event will take place in the Board Room at the County Administration Building at 1101 E. 2nd Ave in Durango.
THURSDAY, April 25
9:00 a.m. – Colorado Counties, Inc (CCI) Steering Committee Meetings
The Board will attend the virtual steering committee meetings with Colorado Counties Inc.
FRIDAY, April 26

SATURDAY, April 27
6:00 p.m. – Annual Cattlemen’s Banquet
Members of the Board will attend the Annual Cattlemen’s Banquet, hosted by the La Plata-Archuleta Cattlemen’s Association. The event will be held at the Sky Ute Casino Resort, located at 14324 County Road 172 in Ignacio.
