TUESDAY, January 10
8:00 a.m. – Oath of Office for La Plata County Newly Elected County Officials:
Judge Norvell will administer the oath of office for Clyde Church, Commissioner; Tiffany Lee, Clerk and Recorder; Allison Aichele, Treasurer; Carrie Woodson, Assessor; Sean Smith, Sheriff; Jann Smith, Coroner.  A reception will follow.

10:00 a.m. - Business Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:

  1. Approval of county cash requirements as prepared and posted by the Finance Department and direct staff to publish.
  2. Approval of Resolution 2023-01 adopting a board meeting schedule and designating a public place for board meeting notices and memorializing the
    board meeting guidelines for remote meetings in the interest of public health.
  3. Approval of Resolution 2023-02 establishing public business hours for county offices.
  4. Approval of Resolution 2023-03 designating the banks at which county deposits are held.
  5. Approval of a letter of support for Colorado Association for Recovery Residences (CAAR) proposal to the Criminal Justice Early Intervention grant program.
  6. Approval of a letter to Governor Polis regarding broadband improvements in Western Colorado.
  7. Approval of a letter of support for Raise the Future's application for a Children, Youth, Family Services Grant from the Colorado Department of Human Service Office of Behavioral Health.
  8. Approval of a letter supporting the Southern Ute Tribe's Northridge Shared-Use Pathway Project grant application.
  9. Approval of a letter of support of Colorado Parks & Wildlife's acquisition of Parcel 566520322005.
  10. Approval of agreement and stipulation as to actual value for tax year 2020 between the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners and Bank of Durango.
  11. Approval of appointments to the Community Corrections Board.
  12. Approval of proxy designations for 2023 Colorado Counties, Inc. Steering Committee Meetings.
  13. Consideration of an appointment to the Southwest La Plata Library District Board.
  14. Consideration of a transfer of a retail liquor store license to Outpost at Helen's Corner, LLC.
  15. R-2023-4 Consideration of Resolution No. 2023-04 setting Commissioners' Liaison & Board assignments and electing Chair/Vice-Chair.

4:00 p.m. – Commissioner Salka Community Office Hours
Commissioner Matt Salka will hold in-person office hours in Ignacio from 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. for members of the public to discuss county issues of interest or concern. Commissioner Salka’s office hours will be held at the Ignacio Community Library located at 470 Goddard Ave.
