MONDAY, June 5
9:30 a.m. – Executive Session – Quarterly Personnel Update
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss:

  • Personnel matters pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(f).  Purpose:  Quarterly personnel update with the County Attorney and County Manager.

2:00 p.m. – Interviews for La Plata County Board of Health
The Board will interview qualified applicants for a seat on the new La Plata County Board of Health.

TUESDAY, June 6
10:00 a.m. – Planning Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:

  1. Resolution 2023-15, Amending Chapter 18 of the La Plata County Code, including the adoption of the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code and conforming amendments.
  2. Ordinance No. 2023-01 of the Board of County Commissioners of La Plata County, updating the fire code, Chapter 34 of the La Plata County Code.

5:30 p.m. – Meet the finalist for the Community Development Director position
The Board and public are invited to meet the final candidate for the La Plata County Community Development Director position.

THURSDAY, June 8
10:00 a.m. -  Executive Session
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

  • Personnel matters pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. 24-6-402(4)(f). Purpose: Conduct interviews of applicants for the Public Health Director position.

4:00 p.m. – Commissioner Salka Bayfield Community Office Hours
Commissioner Matt Salka will hold in-person office hours in Bayfield from 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. for members of the public to discuss county issues of interest or concern. Commissioner Salka’s office hours will be held at the Pine River Public Library located at 395 Bayfield Center Drive in Bayfield.
