MONDAY, October 31

TUESDAY, November 1
8:30 a.m. – Executive Session
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

  • The purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer, or sale of real, personal, or other property pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(a). Purpose: Evaluation of financial support to third parties acquiring property for a managed community. 
  • For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b). Purpose: Closure of Purple Cliffs camp and discussions with the ACLU.        
  • Determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; and instructing negotiators pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(e). Purpose: Evaluation of financial support to third parties acquiring property for a managed community.

1:00 p.m. – Interviews for County Boards & Commissions
The Board will interview county residents for expiring seats on various Boards & Commissions.

WEDNESDAY, November 2

8:30 a.m. – Board Discussion Time 
The commissioners will meet with staff in the Board Room to discuss various issues. An agenda for this meeting will be posted by Tuesday morning at: http://laplatacountyco.iqm2.com/Citizens/calendar.aspx

 THURSDAY, November 3

12:00 p.m. – CCAT Planning Meeting
The Board has been invited to attend the virtual Counties & Commissioners Acting Together (CCAT) meeting to discuss relevant policy updates and help plan CCAT’s 2023 legislative agenda.

4:00 p.m. – Commissioner Salka’s Bayfield Office Hours
Commissioner Matt Salka will hold in-person office hours in Bayfield from 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. for members of the public to discuss county issues of interest or concern. Commissioner Salka’s office hours will be held at the Pine River Public Library located at 395 Bayfield Center Drive in Bayfield.

6:00 p.m. – Town of Ignacio/La Plata County Joint Work Session
The Board will meet with the Town of Ignacio Board of Trustees and staff to discuss items of mutual interest. The meeting will be held at Ignacio Town Hall at 540 Goddard Ave, Ignacio. An agenda for this meeting will be posted by Wednesday morning at: http://laplatacountyco.iqm2.com/Citizens/calendar.aspx

FRIDAY, November 4

10:00 a.m. – Interviews for County Boards & Commissions
The Board will interview county residents for expiring seats on various Boards & Commissions.

3:00 p.m. - Chapter 90 Policy Work Session
The Board will provide direction to staff on setback policy questions for the oil and gas code revision process (Chapter 90).
