MONDAY, September 26
11:30 a.m. – Executive Session

Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

  • Personnel matters pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(f). Purpose: Quarterly personnel update with County Manager and County Attorney.

TUESDAY, September 27
10:00 a.m. - Business Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:

  1. Approval of county cash requirements as prepared and posted by the Finance Department and direct staff to publish
  2. Approval of a change of ownership for The Nugget Mountain Bar, LLC
  3. Approval of a modification for The Nugget Mountain Bar, LLC tavern liquor license
  4. Approval of the renewal of a tavern liquor license for The Nugget Mountain Bar
  5. Approval of a letter of support for the Wildfire Adapted Partnership application to the Colorado State Forest Service Forest Restoration and Wildfire Risk Mitigation grant program for increased capacity
  6. Approval of a letter of support for Falls Creek Ranch Association's application to the Forest Restoration & Wildfire Risk Mitigation grant program for the purchase of a tractor.
  7. Approval of a letter of support for Falls Creek Ranch Association's Colorado State Forest Service Forest Restoration and Wildfire Risk Mitigation (FRWRM) Fuels and Forest Health grant application
  8. Approval of a letter of support for the National Forest Foundation's application to the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Grant Program
  9. Approval of a letter of support for Durango Fire Protection District's application for the Forest Restoration and Wildfire Risk Mitigation Grant Program
  10. Appointment of La Plata County's Commissioner delegate to the Legislative Committee for Colorado Counties, Inc.
  11. Approval of a grant application to Colorado Department of Local Affairs for the Gray and Black Market Marijuana Enforcement grant program
  12. Approval of the first amendment to the Lease Agreement for Area Agency on Aging for 10 Burnet Ct.
  13. Consideration and Second Reading of Ordinance No. O-2022-01: An Ordinance of the Board of County Commissioners of La Plata County, Colorado Updating Code Enforcement Penalties in Light of Statutory Requirements

 THURSDAY, September 29
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Stand Down and Resource Fair
The Board has been invited to attend the La Plata County Veterans Stand Down with support for our local veterans at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, 2500 Main, Durango.

1:30 p.m. – SWCCOG Board Meeting
The Board has been invited to attend a virtual Southwest Colorado Council of Governments (SWCCOG) board meeting.

4:00 p.m. – Commissioner Porter-Norton Community Office Hours
Commissioner Porter-Norton will hold in-person community office hours in Ignacio on Thursday, September 29 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. for members of the public to discuss county issues of interest or concern. Commissioner Porter-Norton’s office hours will be held at the Ignacio Community Library at 470 Goddard Ave, Ignacio.

FRIDAY, September 30
There are no public meetings scheduled for this day.
