TUESDAY, August 9
8:30 a.m. – Executive Session
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

  • The purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer, or sale of real, personal or other property pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(a). Purpose: Real property owned by San Juan Basin Public Health Department.
  • For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b). Purpose: Local public health agency options under state law and the recommendation of the Board of Health of San Juan Basin Public Health Department.
  • Determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; and instructing negotiators pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(e). Purpose: The recommendation of the Board of Health of San Juan Basin Public Health Department.

 10:00 a.m. – Business Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:

  1. Approval of county cash requirements as prepared and posted by the Finance Department and direct staff to publish.
  2. Approval of the Ballot Drop Box Licensing Agreement with Fort Lewis College.
  3. Approval of a memorandum of understanding concerning implementation of the Colorado Votes Act on the campus of Fort Lewis College.
  4. Approval of Core Services Program Plan for 2022-2023.
  5. Approval of a letter of support for Community Connections, Inc. request for funding to operate transportation program.

THURSDAY, August 11
4:00 p.m. – Commissioner Salka’s Community Office Hours
Commissioner Matt Salka will hold community office hours in Durango for members of the public to meet with him to discuss county issues of interest or concern. Commissioner Salka's office hours will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the La Plata County Administration Building located at 1101 E. 2nd Avenue.
