Victim Impact Panel

No COVID restrictions at this time.

Registration:

You MUST pre-register (NO registrations will be accepted after 5:00PM the day before class).

To register for a VIP class, please come to the La Plata County Court House at 1060 E. 2nd Avenue,  Durango, Colorado, (MAP) and speak with one of the Deputies at the entrance.   Bring the following items with you:

  1. blank money order in the amount of $50.00 (you will be given instruction on filling it out when you register);
  2. you need to have your court case number with you;
  3. you need to have a photo ID with you.

NIGHT OF CLASS INFORMATION:
VIP at the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 E. 2nd Avenue, Durango, Colorado  81301
  • Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m;
  • program starts at 6:00 pm and concludes at approximately 8:00 p.m.;
  • courthouse doors are closed and locked at 6:00 p.m.;
  • there will be no late admittance;
  • BRING A PHOTO ID WITH YOU;
  • No children, friends, or companions are allowed at the panel;
  • PLEASE leave your phones and other personal items not needed for class at home or in your car;
  • There is no storage for personal property on the premises;
  • No food or drinks are allowed, with the exception of clear liquids in clear plastic bottles;
  • ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS IN YOUR SYSTEM UPON REPORTING;
After the program you will receive proof of attendance, which you should hold onto to prove your attendance.  It is your responsibility to make sure you received credit for your attendance.
If you do not show for your scheduled class, and no arrangements have been made, you forfeit your money order and will have to go through the registration process again.  This includes paying the registration fee.

This online VIP class is not associated in any way with the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office or the La Plata County Combined Courts, but has been approved by Judge Reid Stewart.  Please contact the courts about receiving credit for attending this online VIP.
