2022 Budget Process
READ THE 2022 PROPOSED BUDGET
Notice of Budget:
Notice is hereby given that a Proposed budget was submitted to the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners on September 28, 2021, for the ensuing year of 2022. The adoption of the 2022 La Plata County Budget will be considered at the regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners to be held in the Board Room, 1101 E. 2nd Ave., Durango, Colorado on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. The proposed budget is available for inspection by the public at the Commissioner’s Office at 1101 E 2nd Ave., Durango, and the Clerk & Recorder’s Office, 679 Turner Dr., Durango, as well as online at http://co.laplata.co.us. A public hearing will be held on the 2022 Proposed Budget on October 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room at 1101 E 2nd Ave., Durango. This hearing will be accessible to the public using an online meeting platform. Public participation, including spoken comment, will be handled through this platform and information for joining the hearing is available on the La Plata County website. A limited number of participants may appear in person in the Board Room, subject to social distancing requirements and La Plata County’s meeting guidelines which include wearing a face covering. Any interested elector of La Plata County may inspect the proposed budget and file or register any objections thereto, at any time, prior to the adoption of the budget. 2022 Budget - Public Service Agency Funding:
Public Service Agencies seeking County funding for services should fill out and return a Public Service Agency Funding Request form. Requests for funding from the 2022 budget are due July 30th, 2021. The Public Service Agency awards are tied to the 2022 Budget process. The Final budget will be presented and adopted December 7th, 2021 at a County Commissioner regular business meeting. Awards will not be Final until the 2022 budget has been adopted.
