Personal Property

Colorado Statute requires the Assessor to value personal property for taxation purposes. Personal property includes machinery, equipment, and leasehold improvements specific to business purposes as well as furnishings located in short-term or long-term residential rentals.

Values are typically based on the information submitted by the property owners on the declaration schedule.  The Assessor notifies owners of their value on the Notice of Valuation.
