Now, anywhere in the world with internet access, La Plata County property owners can now pay their property taxes online with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) or by e-check:
Durango, CO – Effective December 5, 2011, the Office of the La Plata County Treasurer and Public Trustee will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily and will close to the public at 4:00 p.m. The purpose of this change is to ensure adequate time to complete the day’s transactions by 5:00 p.m.

Tax notices are mailed as soon as practicable after January 1st of each year.
Please contact our office. Property owner is responsible for the property tax, interest and fees whether they receive a tax notice or not.

Second Half - June 15
Full Amount - Last Day of April
