MONDAY, Oct. 22

8:30 a.m. – The Board will meet with officials from Archuleta and San Juan Counties and the District Attorney to discuss the D.A.’s 2019 budget in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 1101 E. 2nd Ave., Durango.

10:30 a.m. – The Board will meet with officials from Archuleta County and the Director of San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) to discuss the SJBPH 2019 budget in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 1101 E. 2nd Ave., Durango.

12 p.m. – Commissioner Gwen Lachelt will hold office hours for members of the public to meet with her to discuss issues of interest or concern in the county at her office in the County Administration Building, 1101 E. 2nd Ave., Durango.

2 p.m. – The Board will hold budget meetings with staff from various county departments in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 1101 E. 2nd Ave., Durango.

5 p.m. – The Board has been invited to attend a meeting on Recreation & Resiliency after the 416 Fire at the Powerhouse Science Center, 1333 Camino del Rio, Durango.

7 p.m. – The Board has been invited to attend a meeting of the La Plata - Archuleta Cattlemen’s Association at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Extension Building, 2500 Main Ave., Durango.


TUESDAY, Oct. 23

10 a.m. – BUSINESS AGENDA
The Board will consider:

• Approval of county cash requirements as prepared and posted by the Finance Department and direct staff to publish
• Approval of a letter of support for an Upper Pine River Fire Protection District grant application to Rocky Mountain Health Foundation for a Community Paramedic Program
• Ratification of a letter of support to Colorado Health Foundation for Southwest Rides program
• Ratification of a letter of support to Mount Saint Vincent for a grant for their Early Childhood Training Institute
• Approval of the renewal of a retail liquor store license for Rocky Mountain Liquors
• Approval of the renewal of a retail liquor store license for Wildcat Canyon Liquors
• Approval of the 416 Fire Reimbursement Grant Agreement
• Approval of a memorandum of understanding for the Colorado Community Response Program
• Approval of the notice of exercise of option to renew a lease between La Plata County and Durango Threadworks, Inc., for 98 Everett Street for one year
• Approval of Resolution No. 2018-39 establishing the office closure schedule for La Plata County offices in 2019
• Proclamation of November 12 - 18, 2018 as Apprenticeship Week in La Plata County
• Approval of a letter of support for CO Participation in Upper Division States' Demand Management Program and Storage Account in Lake Powell or other initial units of the Colorado River Storage Project Act
• Consideration of an Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Program Application
• Consideration of a position on the City of Durango Ballot Question 2A
• Consideration of a Colorado Watershed Restoration Grant Program Application
• Direction to staff regarding the request for extension of time for
the comment period on zoning policy memos

5:30 p.m. – 2019 PROPOSED BUDGET PUBLIC MEETING
The Board will hold a meeting for members of the public to discuss the County’s 2019 proposed budget in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 1101 E. 2nd Ave., Durango. WEDNESDAY, Oct. 24

8 a.m. – The Board will attend the 2018 Annual Alliance Economic Summit at the Sky Ute Casino and Resort, 14324 Hwy. 172, Ignacio.
