Public Workshops La Plata County's Oil and Gas Code
The La Plata County Natural Resources Team has completed proposed technical revisions to Chapter 90 of La Plata County’s Land Use Code which outlines the County’s regulations regarding the development of oil and natural gas resources in La Plata County. The revisions are designed to address technical issues that were identified through the process of implementing the new Chapter 90 code, as adopted by the Board of County Commissioners effective January 1, 2009. The Colorado General Assembly enacted legislation which allows each Colorado county to conduct the Primary Election by mail ballot. Mail ballot elections are cost-efficient, increase voter participation, removes barriers that could prevent people from getting to the polling locations and allows more time to study issues and candidates.
