Fingerprinting Services

Fingerprints are done at 283 Girard Street and are
**BY APPOINTMENT ONLY**

The La Plata County Sheriff's Office offers fingerprinting services for the following:

NEW Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) applications. Fingerprint appointment MUST be scheduled online when applying for your Concealed Handgun Permit;

CHP fingerprints: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. CHP fingerprint appointment MUST be scheduled online as part of the application process. DO NOT call for appointment.

Court Ordered fingerprints are done by appointment ONLY on Wednesdays
Please call 970-247-1157 to make an appointment for Court Ordered fingerprints.
You must bring your court order and gov't photo ID (Appointment required).

It is essential for you to arrive to your appointment on time. Appointment slots are exactly 30 minutes and if you are late, we will have to reschedule your appointment.

NOTE: If you need to be fingerprinted for any other reason than a Concealed Handgun Permit or a Court Order, please go to the website below to set up your appointment.
