If you have been requested to fill out a Consent to Search Form please click the link that is highlighted.

After a case has been closed by the judiciary system, your property may be eligible for release.  You will need to print off the Property Release Checklist and make sure you have complied with everything on the list.  You then need to fax a copy of the checklist along with a D.A. Release of Property form signed by the District Attorney's Office to the Sheriff's Office at: 970-259-4595.

The Evidence Technician will contact you about the status of your request.  If approved, an appointment will be made for you to pick up property.  The Property Room is open Tuesday - Friday 8 am to 4 pm.    When you arrive for your appointment, you will need to show photo I.D. as well as proof of ownership if applicable.

Property releases are done by appointment ONLY.  ALL property releases must be scheduled with the Evidence Technician.  Walk-in requests for property release will not be accepted.
