Our Mission

The Mission of the Public Works Department is to provide road maintenance, planning, design, and project management services to residents and visitors to La Plata County so they can benefit from safe roads.

The Public Works department consists of the following divisions:

• Engineering
• Environmental
• Road and Bridge
