As of September 28, 2018, the La Plata County Sheriff's Office will no longer be offering fingerprint services for any reason other than:
(1) Concealed Handgun Permit applications; and (2) Court Ordered Fingerprints (criminal charges only).
The reduction in fingerprinting services being offered is the result of Colorado Senate Bill 17-189 and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) implementation of the Colorado Applicant Background Services (CABS) program.
